Celebrate 100 Days to Go with Free Concert Series

Charlottetown, PE (October 24, 2022) — Islanders are invited to join the PEI 2023 Host Society on Wednesday, November 9, 2022 to mark 100 Days to Go until the Opening Ceremony of the 2023 Canada Winter Games. The celebrations will include a special festival sneak peek announcement, followed by a free concert series in the evening showcasing local talent from across the Island.  

In just over 100 days, Prince Edward Island will welcome the nation for the 2023 Canada Winter Games. From February 18 to March 5, the Games will bring together 3,600 athletes, managers, and coaches, across 20 different sports, for the largest multi-sport event in the country. Participants will also have the chance to experience PEI’s culture and history through the 14-day festival which will feature local food, homegrown talent, and arts and cultural performances. 

The 2023 Canada Winter Games is pleased to partner with the Confederation Centre, Trailside Music Hall, and the University of Prince Edward Island to deliver the 100 Days to Go Free Concert Series featuring local artists such as KINLEY, Kierrah, Rowen Gallant, Emmanuelle LeBlanc, Pascal Miousse, Louise Arsenault, Jonny Ray Arsenault, Oshun Dance, Vince the Messenger, TNA, Loki, Mini$helly, F$rgo, and DJ Sheny.

“The excitement is building as PEI prepares to host the 2023 Canada Winter Games and we couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate our 100 Days to Go milestone than to give you a sneak peek of our Games-time festival plans, ” said Volunteer Lead for Ceremonies & Culture, Kim Doyle. “I encourage Islanders to check out one of our shows on November 9 to get a feel for what’s to come in February 2023 with our Games-time festival.”

The 100 Days to Go Free Concert Series includes:

Tunesmith Circle @ Trailside Music Hall

Performers: Rowen Gallant, Emmanuelle LeBlanc, Pascal Miousse, Louise Arsenault, Jonny Ray Arsenault

Art Show Featuring Live Dance & Music Performances @ Fox & Crow
